Movie and Prayer Time - Baht

Wednesday July 28, 2010 @ 07:00 PM

Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery. It is the second largest and most rapidly growing criminal industry in the world, surpassed only by the selling of drugs. Human trafficking takes place in every country in the world, and most likely occurs in your own community.

FIF will be responding to this global problem by showing the film "Baht" this Wednesday at 7:00pm, followed by a time of prayer.  "Baht" is the currency in Thailand, and the 30-minute documentary sheds light on the victims of sexual slavery and human trafficking there.  The film is produced by Christ in Youth (CIY), and highlights Rapha House, a Christian ministry and safe/halfway house for the girls who have been rescued from this industry.

The entire service will be over by 8:30, and childcare will be available - parents, while the film is not graphic in nature, younger children will be asked to leave the room when the film begins.
